Apart from this i have got the extended screen running and can use the tv to watch films etc whilst i can still work on the laptop or pc.Having problems with it just made me more determined to get it to work, i read that there was no support for windows 7 :( but looking on the q-waves website it was out at the end of November. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because I get a noticeable frame rate drop on the TV compared to the laptop when playing HD Movies using Windows Media Player which can lead to occasional 'jerkyness' during fast action scenes

When you plug the HDMI cable in, make sure the TV isn't on a TV channel (eg, BBC1, ITV1, etc), but is switched over to the appropriate HDMI channel (should be a blank screen)

The issue is that lots of modern day TV's will still intentionally overscan the image (digitally) because there is the chance that older video sources may not have clean edges. I use this as a part time monitor for my laptop, hooked up through 1080p HDMI and used the input labeled HDMI PC (which I am guessing is a straight scan mode?)
