Leaving the TV on stand by overnight seems to let the TV stay on for another 60 minutes or less the next day, it's as though the TV needs a 'charge' so clearly a capacitor issue like many issues that have been posted previously. My 5-year old LE32R8 TV started doing the same, so after reading your comments I called the Samsung helpcentre and they did say that it could be the capacitor, so I'll have a technician coming over to check if it is (and repair if yes), free of charge, so it does seem to be a normal issue

You will know it is charged, when plugged in to a power source via USB (either to the wall or your computer) the light next to the USB port will turn green
