Just Me, D (Tapatalk - iPad 2) Still confused - you keep what exactly in sync? Can you now see your photos (without using iPhoto) on your Mac? Follow me on Twitter. First, don't seriously consider iCloud for business email, Apple just won't warrant it - I use Google Premier Apps but will likely switch to Office365 at year's end; I beta tested O365 for a while and liked it and both of my iPhones worked perfectly with the service, and so did my Mac Outlook (crippled MS software) - MS sells single seats for O365 and the price is just a bit more than Google Apps

Now try it! Take a picture with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch and go look in your Photo Stream download folder on your computer (if your device is connected to W-Fi). It goes both ways, too! If you want to send a picture to your devices, simply drag the picture to your Upload folder and you will almost immediately see it in the Photo Stream album in your Photos app on your device if you are on Wi-Fi

data synchronization - Why is iCloud not syncing my calendars on my iOS devices? - Ask Different
  http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/42612/why-is-icloud-not-syncing-my-calendars-on-my-ios-devices  Competition: low
The new shared calendar should accept new appointments and sync them to all devices, but it won't have the appointments from your old broken shared calendar. Confirm Problem You can confirm that syncing is broken for a shared calendar by doing the following: log into your iCloud calendar using a non-mobile browser find the appointment that is not syncing change the appointment from a shared calendar to a non-shared calendar If the appointment shows up on your iOS device when you change it to a non-shared calendar, then that entire shared calendar might not be syncing to iOS devices anymore

I am not entirely sure if Apple is going to allow a sharing portal, however at the moment I take the images I want to share and upload them to Flickr through iPhoto once they are in my Photo Stream

A reboot was able to fix it, but I was scared when I plugged it in with a cable after failed wifi sync and it said sync is not possible because "disk is not found". The solution was to disable doc syncing on all devices, delete all my documents from iCloud and iDevices, delete iWork from all iDevices, upload the docs to iCloud.com, then reinstall iWork and enable doc syncing

After that incident, I removed the setting to copy imported items to iPhoto Library and all has been well ever since with my 10 GB iPhoto Library managing meta data for around 200 GB of photos. The first back up takes a while but it will get easier and quicker and you won't even realise its backing up ---------- Quote: Originally Posted by Cuprous I am having the same problem with my phone

Hope this helps!! 73 Neil Clarke October 19, 2011 at 12:43 pm Sorry to disagree Israel Denis, but you cannot set icloud as the default data file because it does not have an inbox. To put my work calendar entries onto my iphone involves the cumbersome process of exporting my calendar to a csv file and e-mailing it to my personnal e-mail address, then downloading to my home PC and then importing into the outlook running on my home pc

For example: If you read one of your iCloud email messages in the Mail application on your computer, that email will still appear in your unread mail count on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch until you open Mail on that device. If you're using iCloud Mail rules at icloud.com and have rules to move certain messages to folders when they arrive in your Inbox, those messages will not automatically push to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If we can't see music and photos and other files created with other software or devices, why does it upload and store them? Silly me thought that iCloud was Apple's answer to DropBox. How do I see my Docs-to-Go, Nikon RAW and jpeg files and other files I paid to store? The automatons on the AppleCare line keep reciting some litany about only being able to see files created with iWorks or Contact or Notes etc

ONE workaround, which is as much a pain as not being able to set the default contacts folder, is to manually drag the contacts from the Outlook data file into the iCloud contacts folder.
