Does anyone have any suggestions that might be helpful to someone who desperately wants to engage in physical activity despite DDD back pain? Also, if anyone has any encouraging stories, that would be helpful as well. However, I am more worried about the longer-term issues related to such pain as it is degenerative in nature, thus the bigger issue I am more worried about is losing spinal support, not just gaining weight

It seems as though everyone that has had that surgery done, gets better and recovers quickly. If this is an option for me, I would prefer to have that done. This is just my opinion, but I would ask the doctor about the Nucleoplasty, because you stated that you have leg pain and this procedure would help that, not the IDET

If you have found that leaning forward and standing up etc are your most painful activities (classic disc prolapse symptoms) it is because as you lean forward and load the front of those bulged discs, they are pushing the prolapsed region onto your spinal cord
