There are some cheesy teen romance, comedy and some serious moments in Korra that will definitely, successfully appeal to older fans of the genre as well as the younger Avatar fans

As for why the rest died much younger than some other characters, Bumi and Kyoshi are the exceptions not the norm, we know of like 3 characters who lived to be over 100: Bumi, Sozin and Kyoshi, technically Aang but physically he was still 12
